Jonah is a quick-witted, kind, and considerate person. He had been in the adoption system until he was around six years old. He was adopted by his parents as a PR stunt due to the company they own having a slightly poor public image but his mother refused to get pregnant. He never really fit in.He meets Adam in high school when his family moves in town to get him to socialize with kids his age. It took a couples weeks before Adam warmed up to him and they became inseparable. During their final year, Jonah is informed that the family must leave for a two year business trip upon his graduation. He promises Adam to return immediately afterwards.Two years passed and upon returning, Jonah finds himself waking up in the middle of the woods with scars across his face, a different coloured eye, and his best friend acting strangely. Now that people are suddenly dying, the two take it upon themselves to investigate the town, it's history, and what happened that night in the woods.

Born in a small town, Adam was the son of a loving mother and busy father. His dad was always distracted with work, leaving his mom to be his primary caregiver. At five years old, Adam’s mom passed for reasons still unknown. Since his father didn’t want to deal with the emotional repercussions, he convinced the child that she ran away and is in the town somewhere. Adam still believes this to this day.When Adam began high school, he kept everyone at arms length but stayed relatively quiet. He met Jonah in freshmen year and they started off pretty shaky. At first it was to Adam's annoyance because Jonah seemed to have everything so Adam believed he was pitying him. He learns later this wasn’t really the case and they got along very well. They spent almost every waking moment together, you hardly see one without the other.During the last year of high school Jonah has to leave but promised to come back when he can. Adam reluctantly agrees but begins to spiral in Jonah's absence.The day before Jonah's return, Adam sees “him” at the edge of the woods, calling him over. Despite the multiple alarms in his head to be weary, he dashes down the hill to embrace his other half. The moment they embrace, Adam passes out.He found himself waking up in the woods with no memory of how he got there. He spots Jonah nearby completely scarred, his left eye suspiciously he same shade of own.With a rise of deaths around the town, the two decide they should investigate and uncover what's going on at his home. As they investigate further, Adam can't help but notice he's been sleepwalking, having vivid nightmares, and an odd pull to enter the woods.
